Job summary

BP plc in Jakarta seeks a Senior Static Mechanical Engineer to provide deep expertise in design, analysis and troubleshooting of static equipment, piping and combustion equipment for site reviews and operations. You will lead incident investigations, RCFA, risk assessments, develop maintenance strategies, and support MoC and brownfield projects while mentoring site engineers.

The role requires 10+ years in oil and gas mechanical/piping, hands-on fitness-for-service, and familiarity with Caesar,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• Minimum 10 years in oil & gas as mechanical/piping engineer.
• Experience in EPC/EPCC or operating-company environments.
• Proven fitness-for-service and repair experience for piping and heat exchangers.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline engineering support for operations and startups.
• Lead RCFA investigations and convert findings into actions.
• Support MoC, brownfield mods and project deliverables.
• Develop maintenance strategies from history and reliability data.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices.
