Job summary

bp is seeking a Static Mechanical Engineer to provide deep practical expertise in design, analysis and troubleshooting of static equipment, piping and combustion equipment for strategic reviews and site engineering.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in oil and gas as a mechanical/piping engineer, with experience across office and site environments. This hybrid Jakarta-based position offers opportunities for growth, safety leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years in oil and gas as mechanical/piping engineer
• Experience in engineering, EPC/EPCC and/or operating-company environments
• Practical application of mechanical equipment standards and practices

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline engineering support for normal operations, startups and shutdowns with clear recommendations.
• Lead or provide discipline expertise to incident investigations and RCFA, with sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop maintenance tasks, intervals and SAP PM build using history and reliability insights.
• Coach engineers and technicians and share lessons for continuous improvement.
