PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia, Tbk seeks a Process Engineer to develop and maintain daily engineering activities, project schedules, improvement plans, and technical reports to drive productive manufacturing. You will analyze processes, machines, layouts, and operator handling to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities include developing standards and SOPs, applying FMEA/APQP/SPC/Control Plan, coordinating with multiple departments, and supporting
Develop and maintain daily engineering activities, project schedules, improvement plans, and technical reports to ensure effective execution of engineering activities.
Analyze process, machine, tooling, equipment, cycle time, production layout, operator handling, material usage, and process performance to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Support the development and implementation of process, tooling, equipment, layout, and work method improvements to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and process reliability.
Develop and maintain process standards, process matrices, Work Instructions, SOPs, and other technical documentation to ensure consistent manufacturing practices.
Support the preparation of improvement proposals, BAP, tooling and equipment procurement documents, and engineering project documentation.
Apply manufacturing Core Tools, including FMEA, APQP, SPC, and Control Plan, to support process control and prevent potential process failures.
Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, PPIC, Warehouse, and related departments in implementing improvements and resolving process issues.
Support knowledge transfer, training, standardization, and handover of new or improved processes, equipment, tooling, and work methods.
Conduct follow-up audits on improvement results, safety, work equipment, and 5R implementation within the assigned work area.
D3/D4/S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related roles; experience in steel pipe, tube, metal processing, or similar manufacturing industries is preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering design software.
Able to read and develop 2D/3D technical drawings and understand basic engineering specifications.
Familiar with relevant steel pipe and manufacturing standards, such as API, ASTM, ASME, or ISO.
Strong understanding of process analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and ultrasonic thickness gauges.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
