Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a material handling professional to ensure smooth availability of materials and WIP to support production targets, quality, and safety. You will calculate stock availability, identify material types, and coordinate with production and PPIC to maintain timely material flow.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with kanban and FIFO systems.
• Proficiency in measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material and WIP availability aligned with production needs to support waste reduction and quality targets.
• Calculate wire stock availability for the stranding process.
• Assess availability of slow-moving and non-moving stock.
• Identify materials by size and type for proper handling.
• Coordinate with production and PPIC to provide materials.
• Implement FIFO in material provisioning.

Support the smooth availability of material and work-in-process (WIP) according to production needs through effective material handling activities to support the achievement of waste material reduction, production targets, quality, and work safety. Mendukung kelancaran ketersediaan material dan work-in-process (WIP) sesuai kebutuhan produksi melalui kegiatan material handling yang efektif guna mendukung pencapaian pengurangan waste material, target produksi, kualitas, dan keselamatan kerja.

Calculate availability of wire stock for stranding process

Calculate availability of slow moving and not moving stock status

Perform material identification according to size and type

Coordinate production and PPIC in providing material

Implement FIFO in providing material
