Job summary

PT Smoore Technology Indonesia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering and construction programs for our manufacturing and R&D facilities in East Java. The role focuses on owner-side oversight, planning, contractor management, and ensuring quality and safety across all project phases.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in engineering/construction project management, with experience in industrial environments and strong drawing-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction related fields and relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction project management.
• Experience with industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or factory renovation projects is preferred.
• Owner-side project management experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Good command of English for workplace communication and documentation.
• Knowledge of Indonesian building regulations and local approvals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning, requirements, and technical specifications with users.
• Develop schedules and monitor progress; manage design and cost optimization.
• Act as owner’s representative during construction and review drawings and methods.
• Ensure site quality, safety, schedule, and workmanship; manage RFIs and variations.
• Coordinate civil, architectural, and finishing works; manage factory layout and spaces.

Job description

1. Project Planning & Requirement Coordination

Coordinate with user departments to define project scope, functional requirements, and technical requirements.

Develop project schedules and monitor project progress.

Coordinate design and cost teams for technical and cost optimization.

Identify project risks and propose improvement solutions.

Support preparation of tender documents, technical specifications, construction scope, interfaces, and schedules.

Assist in technical evaluation and selection of contractors.

Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Construction & Site Management

Act as the owner's representative during construction.

Review drawings, construction methods, and technical submissions.

Monitor site quality, schedule, safety, and workmanship.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve site issues.

Manage variations, site instructions, material approvals, and project documentation.

4. Civil & Architectural Works

Manage civil, structural, architectural, renovation, and finishing works.

Coordinate factory layout, office/laboratory areas, production areas, and supporting facilities.

Identify construction quality and implementation risks.

5. Completion & Handover

Coordinate testing, inspection, completion acceptance, and site handover.

Verify completed works and project documentation.

Support final measurement and project settlement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or related disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction project management.

Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, R&D facilities, or factory renovation projects is preferred.

Owner-side project management experience is highly preferred.

Proficient in AutoCAD and common office software.

Able to read and review engineering drawings and construction documents.

Good understanding of project planning, contractor management, quality, schedule, cost, and safety control.

Good command of English for workplace communication and documentation.

Knowledge of Indonesian building regulations, PBG/SLF, construction safety, and relevant local approval processes is an advantage.

Knowledge of K3/HSE and SMKK requirements is preferred.

Valid SKK Konstruksi relevant to the discipline is an advantage.
