Job summary

SMOORE Indonesia is seeking a dedicated Lean/Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead and promote lean initiatives across manufacturing processes. You will partner with management and cross-functional teams to improve performance, scale-up new products, and enhance product quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, POKA-YOKE implementation, DFM reviews, and collaboration with QA, Operations, and ME teams to sustain gains and ensure safety and waste policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or higher.
• Experience with IE methods, lean projects and TPM/KPI/Six Sigma.
• Proficient with VSM and AutoCAD; capable in workshop and logistics planning.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Experience promoting lean projects and intelligent manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote a robust continuous improvement strategy with management and stakeholders.
• Lead lean events and continuous improvement activities to improve performance.
• Support scale-up of new products and improve existing products.
• Improve product structure design and manufacturing processes for quality and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis on customer complaints and implement corrective actions with QA/Operations/ME.
• Drive process inspection, POKA YOKE improvement, fixture design and optimization.
• Ensure DFM reviews of new products are carried out per policy.
• Analyze abnormal production quality and ensure verification reports are available.
• Assist supplier process capability with PMC/SQE teams.
• Implement health & safety and waste management policies per regulations.

Job Description:

1. Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy & promote lean project in partnership with the Management Team and key business stakeholders;
2. Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, such as the planning and running of lean events;
3. Lead process engineering support of the scale-up of new product(s) and in the improvement of existing product(s);
4. Lead and define the improvement activities for product structure design & manufacturing process to improve product quality, and improve efficiency;
5. Ensure the root cause analysis on customer complaints. Work with team to develop and implement corrective, action plan and implementation in collaboration with Quality, Operation & ME Team;
6. Driving the Process inspection, POKA YOKE (Mistake Proofing) improvement, process and fixture design and optimize;
7. Ensure the DFM review of new products are carry out according to company policy;
8. Analysis and countermeasure of abnormal quality of production line and ensure all verification report and conclusion are available;
9. Assist and improve supplier's process capability together with PMC, SQE Team;
10. Implement policies related to employee health and safety programs that comply with applicable regulations and standards.
11. Implement policies related to waste management programs that comply with applicable regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Education Background: Bachelor degree from Engineering or above;
• Familiar with IE improvement techniques and key skills, with practical experience in capacity assessment；Familiar with VSM (value flow analysis) and other tool software; Familiar with using AutoCAD software, and have practical experience in workshop and logistics planning and layout;
• Experience in successful lean project promotion；Solid IE theoretical foundation and rich experience in intelligent manufacturing;
• Proficiency in project management using TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools; Familiar with DOE and other engineering tools；Excellent ability of logical analysis;
• Strong passion for product technology or process; Good knowledge of product processing and industrialization processes;
