Job summary

Samudera Indonesia seeks a seasoned QHSE professional to lead analytics and SMK3L initiatives across our Indonesian operations. You will translate regulatory obligations into strategic actions and drive safety, quality, and risk management, collaborating with multiple units.

With a strong background in statistics-based analysis and data tools, you will mentor teams, enhance awareness, and ensure compliant IMS rollout. Based in Slipi, Jakarta Barat, you will support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the listed majors.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QHSE.
  • At least 3 years in a QHSE supervisor/section head role.
  • Experience setting up and implementing QHSE systems.
  • Experience in risk management frameworks and processes.
  • Ability to create implementation strategies for inspections, investigations, and RCA.
  • Proficient in statistics-based analysis for QHSE performance (parametric & non-parametric).
  • Skilled with data analysis tools for safety, quality, and operations data.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Business English.
  • Willing to be placed in Slipi, Jakarta Barat.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for QHSE strategies.
  • Monitor SMK3L policies and their implementation per strategy.
  • Translate obligations into the company's HSE-based management strategy.
  • Develop and enhance employee HSE awareness through campaigns and mentoring.
  • Monitor HSE program execution across units and suggest improvements.
  • Design and implement SMK3L programs at corporate and unit levels.
  • Analyze HSE data trends to identify risks and root causes for improvement.
  • Ensure Integrated Management System implementation and risk control.
  • Encourage commitment to IMS requirements among teams.
  • Participate in accident investigations and report accurately.

Job description

Main Responsibilities
1. Provide data-driven insights, Statistical method analysis and recommendations through advanced analytical techniques (parametric & non‑parametric) to support management decisions on QHSE strategies.

2. Monitoring the implementation and reviewing policies related to the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (SMK3L) in accordance with the agreed strategy.

3. Translating all obligations related to occupational safety and health regulations and implementing them into the company's HSE‑based management strategy.

4. Developing and enhancing employee awareness in HSE aspects through campaign programs and HSE mentoring.

5. Monitoring the execution of HSE programs across all business units and providing guidance and suggestions to improve the quality of these programs.

6. Designing and implementing SMK3L programs at the corporate and business unit levels and continuously developing them in alignment with the company's vision and mission.

7. Analyze HSE‑related data trends using statistical methodologies to identify risks, root causes, and areas for continuous improvement.

General Responsibilities
1. Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.
2. Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.
3. Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.
4. Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher from Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Actuarial Studies, Statistics, or Mathematics major.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in QHSE, and minimum of 3 years of a QHSE Supervisor/Section Head.

Understands the context of setting up and implementing the QHSE system.

Has experience in risk management framework & processes.

Has the ability to create an implementation strategy of accidents inspection, investigation, and RCA.

Proficient in statistics‑based analysis relevant to QHSE performance, including parametric and non‑parametric methods.

Skilled in utilizing data analysis tools for interpreting safety, quality, and operational data.

Ability to transform complex data sets into actionable insights to improve safety performance, risk management, and operational excellence.

Proficient in spoken and written Business English.

Willing to be placed in Slipi, Jakarta Barat.
