Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Service Manager in Pekanbaru, Indonesia to oversee the Flow Control after-sales service business and lead the service team. You will work with customers to maximize value, ensure performance, reliability, and safe shutdown practices across projects.

You will coordinate with Sales, Product Line teams, and specialists to deliver value-added service solutions and build trusted partnerships. A driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 5 years in flow control with management experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Advanced English proficiency and willingness to travel. A valid driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• You will lead and develop the Indonesia Flow Control service team, ensuring strong performance, competence development, and high utilization of service resources.
• You will collaborate with Sales, Product Line teams, and specialists to deliver value-added service solutions for existing and new customers.
• You will build and maintain strong relationships with key customers through regular site visits and support customers in shutdown planning and shutdown management activities.
• You will ensure all service activities comply with legal requirements, safety standards, and HSE processes at Valmet, customer, and subcontractor sites.
• You will work closely with distributors, regional experts, sales managers, senior sales engineers, sales support teams, and application engineers to drive customer success across Indonesia.

Are you the new service-minded leader and team player we are looking for? Join us as a Service Manager and play a key role in developing and growing our Flow Control after-sales service business in Indonesia. You will lead service operations, support the development of service engineers, and work closely with customers to maximize the value of Valmet's service portfolio. This is an opportunity to combine leadership, customer engagement, and technical expertise while helping customers improve performance, reliability, and shutdown management activities. Based in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, you will report to the Director, Sales & Services, Indonesia.

Your responsibilities

• You will lead and develop the Indonesia Flow Control service team, ensuring strong performance, competence development, and high utilization of service resources.
• You will collaborate with Sales, Product Line teams, and specialists to deliver value-added service solutions for existing and new customers.

Expectations for you

• You have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in flow control, including management experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• You have strong customer relationship management skills and can build trusted partnerships in different business situations.
• You are passionate about applying technology and service solutions to improve customer performance.
• You have advanced English proficiency and are willing to travel regularly. A valid driving license is required.
