Job summary

Abcpresident is seeking a dedicated Sensory Analyst to join our food and beverage R&D team in Jakarta. You will develop and evaluate innovative product ideas, conduct sensory tests, and collaborate with product development to bring concepts to prototype stage.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in food technology or a related science, has at least 3 years of sensory research experience, and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and prepare a portfolio of innovative product ideas based on market data and consumer insights.
• Plan and coordinate execution of ideas into prototypes and launch-ready projects.
• Ensure development and quality control through sensory analysis against targets.
• Develop applications and sensory functions to determine and control product quality.
• Ensure sensory panelists remain competent through a series of sensory tests.
• Supervise and train sensory panelists involved in sensory product quality.

Job description

• Developing, creating, and preparing a portfolio of innovative product ideas based on market data analysis, market projections, and trends, consumer insights, market product analysis, as well as scientific product studies and consumer surveys.
• Planning and coordinating the execution of ideas into prototypes and projects ready to launch with support from the product & packaging development team (food and beverage) and ensuring NPD projects are on schedule.
• Ensuring the development and quality control of new and existing products through sensory analysis (acceptance, preference, differences, and descriptions) both internally and externally according to predetermined targets.
• Developing applications and sensory functions in determining and controlling product quality.
• Ensuring that trained R&D sensory panelists remain competent and consistent through a series of sensory tests.
• Supervising and training the sensory panelists outside of R&D involved in the supervision and determination of sensory product quality.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in food technology, science (biology, chemistry, physics) and related
• Strong understanding of scientific principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies used for sensory and research
• Minimum 3 years experience in sensory analyst and consumer research
• Have a curious mindset and a passion for innovation
