Job summary

Sandvik Group in Papua, Indonesia, invites experienced Technical Advisors to join our team at the Freeport site. You will provide technical support for Sandvik underground drill and bolt equipment, ensuring reliability and safety while minimizing downtime.

With a strong background in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, you will mentor local technicians, respond to spare-parts issues, and drive digitalization initiatives alongside the General Manager and Technical Support Manager.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified or equivalent expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Extensive underground mining experience maintaining Sandvik drill/bolting equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; relationship building valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on Sandvik underground drills and bolters including Jumbo's and Cable bolters.
• Organize feedback on reliability issues and spare parts concerns for the fleet.
• Assist Service Personnel on technical issues while promoting safe work practices.
• Mentor and upskill local workforce in best-practice service and maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with GM and Technical Support Manager on EHS initiatives and training needs.
• Drive adoption of new technology and digitalization within service processes.
