Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Technical Specialist Load and Haul to join our team in Freeport, Indonesia located in the Papua Province. The role focuses on on-site training and development of Sandvik and Client personnel to ensure Sandvik’s underground mining equipment meets performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: relevant trade qualification and strong interpersonal/leadership skills.
• Safety-focused with ability to follow Life Saving Rules.
• Provide technical advice and procedures to service technicians.
• High time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead a team of technical personnel.
• Flexible, self-motivated with initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and report writing desirable.
• Computer systems literacy is essential.
• High drive to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
• Mandatory certificates: Lototo and Working At Heights (WAH).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise underground technicians to improve maintenance reliability, availability and cost.
• Provide on-site training for Sandvik and client personnel.
• Assess technical issues on SMRT equipment and escalate to National Product Support.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices on site.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and 5S workplace organization.
• Disseminate bulletins and alerts for SMC products to site teams.
• Contribute to site training needs analysis and planning.
• Review maintenance and performance data with Principals personnel.
• Identify and document equipment reliability issues.
• Support development of site-specific maintenance plans.
