Job summary

Packet Systems Indonesia is seeking an IT-security engineer to deliver security engineering support for clients, focusing on firewall technologies, load balancing, and proxy systems.

You will manage security endpoints on F5, Palo Alto, and Cisco solutions, troubleshoot issues, and assist with on-site resident engineering at customer sites. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in network security are required, with English fluency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Telecommunication; GPA minimum 3.0.
• Deep knowledge in Firewall Technologies (Palo Alto/Checkpoint/Fortinet).
• Knowledge in Load Balance technology (F5).
• Knowledge in Proxy Technology (Bluecoat).
• Routing Switching knowledge preferred.
• Professional level Security certification is a must.
• Minimum 3 years experience in network security deployment.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure with limited guidance; strong teamwork and leadership qualities.
• Willing to be positioned as resident engineer on customer site.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT-security engineering support to improve client security posture; protect information systems.
• Handle day-to-day management, monitoring, and operational support of security endpoints and agents (F5, Palo Alto, Cisco Security).
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions to maintain security integrity.
• Support change requests on customer networks.
• Manage reporting, documentation and standby monitoring.
• Provide on-site Resident Engineering support at PSI customer sites.

Job Requirements:

• Hold bachelor degree (S-1 degree) in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Telecommunication from reputable university with minimum IPK of 3.0, 3 years working experience as engineer is a must
• Deep knowledge in Firewall Technologies (Palo Alto/Checkpoint/Fortinet)
• Having knowledge in Load Balance technology (F5)
• Having knowledge in Proxy Technology (Bluecoat)
• Preferable having knowledge in Routing Switching
• Holding Profesional level for Security certification is a must
• Minimum 3 years experience in network security technology deployment
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Fluent in English, good communication skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications i.e. Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to perform under pressure and tight time constraints; be able to work under limited guidance in line with a broad plan, or strategy.

Job Descriptions:

• Provide the IT-security engineering support and guidance to the client that improve the client’s security posture; improving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems by identifying, verifying, and understanding cyber events
• Handle the day-to-day management, monitoring, and operational support of security endpoint and agents for F5, Palo Alto, and Cisco Security solutions
• Providing a critical support for troubleshooting and other corrective action to maintain the security’s integrity
• Acting as a support for change request in customer network
• Manage the additional supportive activity which includes reporting, documentation and standby monitoring
• Provide additional support for the On-site Resident Engineering team on PSI’s Customer Site
