Job summary

Metso seeks a Product Sales Manager for Bulk & Port Solutions in Jakarta to drive sales, deliver compelling value propositions, and lead regional growth. The role requires deep knowledge of Bulk Material Handling and strong commercial acumen, with substantial travel and collaboration with the APA sales team.

The successful candidate will bring five+ years in direct mining sales, familiarity with bulk handling equipment, and a background in engineering or trade.

Qualifications

• Five years of direct selling or service into the mining industry.
• Experience with bulk handling equipment is preferred.
• Engineering degree or trade is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time by road and air.
• CRM exposure in Salesforce is favorable.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures including budgets and margins recommended.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales funnel generation and secure orders for the product offering.
• Articulate value proposition and win plan for the cases and overall product offering.
• Demonstrate customer advantages through performance and value.
• Ensure the sales team has training and support to sell the products.
• Collect customer and competitor information per BL/PG requirements.
• Provide regional forecasts with the sales team.
• Understand market and competition to shape sales cases.
• Support warranty, IB validation, and inspection reviews.
• Escalate issues and communicate results to global lines.
