Job summary

PT Sinergi Ayu Semesta is seeking a Product Development Specialist to drive cosmetics innovations from concept to launch. You will lead end-to-end development, perform market analysis, and validate formulations.

You will collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to select ingredients, test samples, and develop packaging concepts balancing performance, cost, and aesthetics. Strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Development; beauty industry experience is a plus.
• Understanding of end-to-end product development, including formulation, ingredients and packaging.
• Strong analytical, creative, and innovative skills in market research and product development.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills; proficiency in Google Workspace and Canva.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end product development process, from market research and concept creation to formulation and product launch preparation

Analyze market trends, competitors, consumer needs, active ingredients, and formulations to develop innovative and competitive products

Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams on formula development, raw material selection, and product sample evaluation and testing

Develop packaging concepts and recommendations, considering functionality, quality, aesthetics, cost, and product compatibility

Develop and manage product development timelines, monitor progress, and proactively address potential delays or challenges

Prepare product knowledge, product guidelines, and supporting launch materials, while communicating product information to relevant teams

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Development; experience in the beauty industry (makeup, skincare, or body care) is a plus

Good understanding of the end-to-end product development process, including formulation, active ingredients and their functions, sample evaluation, and packaging development

Strong analytical, creative, and innovative skills in product development, trend evaluation, and market research

Ability to develop and manage product timelines; disciplined, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently

Strong communication and public speaking skills, with proficiency in Google Workspace and Canva
