About the Role Our client, a globally recognized leader in the beauty and wellness industry, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Skincare Product Developer to join their esteemed research and development team in Jakarta, Jakarta. This role is at the forefront of cosmetic science, responsible for conceptualizing, formulating, and bringing to market cutting-edge skincare products. You will leverage your deep understanding of cosmetic chemistry, ingredient efficacy, and consumer trends to create exceptional products that resonate with the market. This is a hands-on laboratory role requiring meticulous attention to detail and a passion for innovation in Jakarta, Jakarta. The ideal candidate will lead product development projects from ideation through to commercialization, ensuring quality, safety, and efficacy. Key Responsibilities Lead the formulation and development of new skincare products, including creams, serums, cleansers, and masks. Conduct extensive research on new ingredients, technologies, and market trends in skincare. Optimize existing formulations for improved performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness. Oversee stability testing, compatibility testing, and micro-challenging to ensure product integrity. Collaborate closely with the marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product launch. Develop and maintain detailed product development documentation, including lab notebooks, formulas, and specifications. Troubleshoot formulation issues and provide technical support to manufacturing. Ensure all product development activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards. Mentor and guide junior product development chemists and technicians. Stay abreast of scientific advancements and competitor product innovations in the Beauty & Wellness sector. Requirements Master\'s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in skincare product development, with a strong portfolio of successfully launched products. In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and the science behind skincare efficacy. Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and formulation processes. Familiarity with cosmetic regulations in Indonesia and international markets (e.g., BPOM, FDA, EU regulations). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively. Creative mindset and a passion for innovation in the beauty industry.
