Job summary

PT Maja Estetika Sejahtera, based in South Jakarta, seeks a Product Development specialist to identify new opportunities, develop and improve cosmetic formulations, and coordinate end-to-end product launches.

You will work with R&D, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, including BPOM requirements, while aligning products with brand strategy and market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Product Development, R&D, or a related role in beauty, skincare, haircare, or personal care industry.
• Good understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, product claims, and beauty market trends.
• Familiarity with BPOM regulations and cosmetic product registration processes.
• Experience coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation management.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet product development deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyze beauty industry trends, consumer needs, and competitor products to identify new product opportunities.
• Develop new products and improve existing formulations in collaboration with R&D, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Coordinate the end-to-end product development process, from product concept, sampling, testing, and evaluation to product launch.
• Ensure product quality, safety, efficacy, and compliance with applicable regulations, including BPOM requirements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, Packaging, and Regulatory teams to ensure products align with brand positioning and target consumers.
• Coordinate product sampling, stability testing, compatibility testing, and product performance evaluations.
• Manage product development timelines, costs, specifications, and documentation to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.
• Evaluate product packaging, ingredients, claims, and product benefits to ensure alignment with market needs and brand strategy.
• Monitor product performance after launch and recommend improvements based on consumer feedback and market insights.
