Job summary

SOECHI GROUP is seeking an Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in high/low voltage power distribution and marine electrical systems for offshore LNG-related projects. The role requires substantial experience in Oil & Gas or LNG, including offshore facilities or FSRUs, and familiarity with electrical design, HV switchboards, and Ex classifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's or PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of proven professional experience, with 5–8 years in Oil & Gas or LNG, offshore facilities or FSRU projects.
• Expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution and marine electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical system analysis software (ETAP, SKM) and drafting/3D tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Design Review: review EPC contractor electrical designs including single-line diagrams, load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and transient studies.
• Conversion Oversight: monitor electrical integration of regasification modules, HV switchboards, and Ex requirements onto LNG carrier hull.
• Procurement & Vendor Inspection: review equipment specs for transformers, switchgear, and generators; perform FAT/SAT.
• Commissioning & Handover: supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and SIT for smooth handover to operations.
• Compliance: ensure electrical system compliance with ABS/DNV and IEC/IEEE/ATEX standards.
