Job summary

SOECHI GROUP is seeking an Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in high/low voltage power distribution and marine electrical systems for offshore LNG-related projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's or PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of proven professional experience, with 5–8 years in Oil & Gas or LNG, offshore facilities or FSRU projects.
• Expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution and marine electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical system analysis software (ETAP, SKM) and drafting/3D tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Design Review: review EPC contractor electrical designs including single-line diagrams, load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and transient studies.
• Conversion Oversight: monitor electrical integration of regasification modules, HV switchboards, and Ex requirements onto LNG carrier hull.
• Procurement & Vendor Inspection: review equipment specs for transformers, switchgear, and generators; perform FAT/SAT.
• Commissioning & Handover: supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and SIT for smooth handover to operations.
• Compliance: ensure electrical system compliance with ABS/DNV and IEC/IEEE/ATEX standards.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Description :

• Design Review: Independently review EPC contractor electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and transient stability studies, layout, wiring diagram, MTO, specification, datasheets etc.
• Conversion Oversight: Monitor the electrical integration of complex regasification modules, high-voltage switchboards, and hazardous area (Ex) requirements onto the existing LNG carrier hull.
• Procurement & Vendor Inspection: Review equipment specifications for transformers, switchgear, and generators. Perform factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
• Commissioning & Handover: Supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system integration testing (SIT) to ensure a smooth transition from shipyard to commercial operation.
• Compliance: Ensure the electrical system complies with Classification Society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV) and international standards (IEC, IEEE, ATEX).

Job Qualification :

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's or PE license preferred).
• 10+ years of proven professional experience, with at least 5-8 years specifically in the Oil & Gas or LNG sector, ideally involving offshore facilities or FSRU projects. FPSO experiences would be considered as well.
• Expertise in high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) power distribution, marine electrical systems, and hazardous area classifications.
• Familiarity with electrical system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM) and drafting/3D review tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of EPC contracts, variation orders, and claims management.
• Pass offshore medical certificates are typically required for site/shipyard visits.
