Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Buyer in Indonesia to lead sourcing for logistics and packaging, secure supply, and drive cost improvements. You will work with internal stakeholders to implement effective procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships across sites in Indonesia.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, fluency in local language and English, and a track record of senior procurement experience with a focus on logistics and supply chain. Collaboration and impact are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant expertise area or equivalent by experience.
• Local language and English required; other languages a plus.
• Min 2 years as Senior Procurement experience strongly preferred.
• Solid experience in chemical logistics/supply chain preferred.
• Negotiation, contracting, demand management and relevant systems savviness / multitasking.
• Effective communication, influencing & motivating others.
• Own and deliver the outcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for logistics & packaging categories in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure security of supply at competitive commercial conditions and drive savings pipelines.
• Track markets, macro-economic and geo-political influences, supply-demand and supplier developments.
• Prepare and lead competitive tender/RFQ, negotiations, supplier selection and contracting.
• Lead contract implementation and resolve issues with Category lead and Operations.
• Initiate and conduct supplier performance evaluations; drive continuous improvement.
