Job summary

Sephora SEA is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to take ownership of core GL processes, ensuring accuracy across assets, inventory and accruals, while supporting robust monthly and annual reporting and audit readiness.

The role requires a finance or accounting degree, 3–5 years of experience (Big 4 preferred), fluent English, and strong Excel with SAP experience. Join a dynamic SEA team delivering value in a fast-growing retail ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Big 4.
• Fluent in English and able to work in an English-language environment.
• Excel champion with experience in large ERP systems like SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in a timely manner.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit inquiries and statutory financial statements.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and adherence to internal control policies.
• Contribute to statutory tax and secretarial submissions.

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant within our team, you will report to the Finance Controlling Manager for Shared Services and will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the ongoing financial operations, and will be expected to take complete ownership for your areas of focus.

• Preparing journal entries and reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger including fixed assets, inventory and accruals
• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes in line with required timeliens
• Preparing all Audit Schedules and assisting with Audit inquiries, and supporting the drafting of audited financial statements (AFS) for both internal and external audits
• Preparing statutory compliance submissions, including audit, tax and secretarial
• Supporting statutory compliance submissions, including audit, tax, and secretarial requirements
• Ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with IFRS and Group Internal Control Policies

We would love to hear from you if are/have…

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA is preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in the Big 4
• Fluent in English, experience working or studying in an English language environment is sufficient
• An Excel champion, with some experience with a large ERP system such as SAP previously
• Highly analytical with great problem-solving skills
• Good communicator and able to build effective relationships with peers and internal customers
