Job summary

Sephora SEA is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to own and manage essential financial processes within our Shared Services team. You will report to the Finance Controlling Manager and drive accuracy across the general ledger, including fixed assets, inventory and accruals, while supporting statutory and audit activities.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting with CPA/CA, 3–5 years’ Big 4 experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in the Big 4.
• Fluent in English; experience in an English-language environment; proficient in Excel and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to maintain general ledger accuracy (including fixed assets, inventory and accruals).
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes in a timely manner.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit inquiries, and support drafting audited financial statements (AFS) for internal and external audits.
• Prepare statutory compliance submissions, including audit, tax and secretarial.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with IFRS and Group Internal Control Policies.

Senior General Ledger Accountant

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant within our team, you will report to the Finance Controlling Manager for Shared Services and will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the ongoing financial operations, and will be expected to take complete ownership for your areas of focus.

We would love to hear from you if are/have…

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA is preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in the Big 4
• Fluent in English, experience working or studying in an English language environment is sufficient
• An Excel champion, with some experience with a large ERP system such as SAP previously
• Highly analytical with great problem-solving skills
• Good communicator and able to build effective relationships with peers and internal customers
