Job summary

Sephora SEA in Indonesia is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. You will report to the Finance Controlling Manager for Shared Services and own key GL processes including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory and accruals.

You will support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, assist with audits, ensure IFRS compliance, and handle statutory submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA is preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in the Big 4
• Fluent in English; experience in an English-language environment is sufficient
• Excel champion with experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
• Analytical with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Preparing journal entries and reconciliations to maintain accuracy of the general ledger including fixed assets, inventory and accruals
• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes in line with required timelimes
• Preparing audit schedules and assisting with audits and the drafting of audited financial statements
• Preparing statutory compliance submissions, including audit, tax and secretarial requirements
• Ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with IFRS and Group Internal Control Policies

Senior General Ledger Accountant

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant within our team, you will report to the Finance Controlling Manager for Shared Services and will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the ongoing financial operations, and will be expected to take complete ownership for your areas of focus.

We would love to hear from you if are/have…

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA is preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in the Big 4
• Fluent in English, experience working or studying in an English language environment is sufficient
• An Excel champion, with some experience with a large ERP system such as SAP previously
• Highly analytical with great problem-solving skills
• Good communicator and able to build effective relationships with peers and internal customers
