Job summary

ABB Indonesia is seeking a seasoned Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service work of low to medium complexity, following ABB processes and safety guidelines. You will plan and execute first-time-right tasks for customers, applying your automation expertise to diagnose and resolve issues.

The role involves travelling within the Asia region, offshore sites included. You will work with the Field Service Manager and support maintenance, testing, FAT/SAT activities, focusing on reliability

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering related disciplines.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Automation & Controls Systems.
• Good understanding of HMI, DCS, SCADA, PLC, IT, OT, P&ID, Safety & automation systems.
• Preferable knowledge in ABB Automation 800xA and ABB Automation Symphony S+ and Cyber Security Work Place (CSWP).
• Experience in Maintenance / Testing & commissioning / FAT / SAT in Automation System.
• Preferable working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plant/ Offshore/ Power & Water Industries.
• Position is based in Indonesia but require travelling & work outside of Indonesia like Asian Region, Offshore & etc.

Responsibilities

• Working with the customer (on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
• Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
• Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

This position reports to:

Field Service Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

You will be mainly accountable for:
