Job summary

ABB Indonesia is seeking a seasoned Field Service Engineer to lead on-site service work for automation and control systems. You will plan and execute tasks with a first-time-right approach, work with customers to identify improvements, and ensure parts and equipment quality for each service activity.

The role requires 8+ years in automation, knowledge of HMI/DCS/SCADA/PLC, and travel within the Asia region. On-site work and safety adherence are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering related disciplines
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Automation & Controls Systems
• Good understanding of HMI, DCS, SCADA, PLC, IT, OT, P&ID, Safety & automation systems
• Preferable knowledge in ABB Automation 800xA and ABB Automation Symphony S+ and Cyber Security Work Place (CSWP)
• Experience in Maintenance / Testing & commissioning / FAT / SAT in Automation System
• Position is based in Indonesia with travel outside Indonesia

Responsibilities

• Work with on-site customers to identify opportunities to improve operations
• Perform field service tasks, troubleshoot issues, and analyze remotely or on-site
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability and quality of parts and equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment/process failures and recommend corrective actions
• Support health & safety and ABB standard processes in all activities
