Job summary

Seven Retail is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to turn large datasets into strategic insights. You will design analyses, run predictive modeling, and build scalable dashboards for key business metrics. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams will be essential to translate requirements into actionable insights.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and mentoring junior analysts as you lead analytics initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or related experience.
• 5+ years of data analytics, BI, or similar analytics role.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R).
• Experience creating dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience with statistical analysis and experimentation (A/B testing) is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management abilities.

Your Day-to-Day

• Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
• Design and conduct statistical analyses, predictive modeling, and experimentation to solve business problems and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and data models to monitor key business metrics and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business opportunities, translate requirements into analytical solutions, and communicate insights effectively.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency by implementing best practices in data validation, governance, and reporting.
• Mentor junior analysts, lead analytical initiatives, and promote best practices in data analytics, statistical methodologies, and data-driven decision making.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• >>5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and data manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and the ability to present complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling or experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
