Job summary

Enterprise Digital Technology Services Edts in Jakarta seeks a data analyst with 5+ years of experience to write and optimize BigQuery SQL, converting large datasets into actionable insights for executive leadership.

You will mentor junior analysts, drive reporting projects, ensure data governance, and collaborate with retail stakeholders. This is an on-site role at Wisma 46, Jakarta Pusat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel or similar data analysis tools
• Interest/experience in retail industry is beneficial
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented and communication skills
• WFO at Wisma 46, Jakarta Pusat

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries (BigQuery) to extract and analyze large datasets
• Analyze large datasets to derive patterns for business decisions and narrate insights for executives
• Act as primary consultant for business units and identify data-driven opportunities
• Manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring momentum and adherence to SLAs
• Deliver end-to-end reporting projects, resolving blockers and enforcing QA/data governance
• Mentor junior analysts and share best practices in visualization and analytics

Job description

What you will do

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries (specifically within BigQuery) to extract and analyze large datasets, ensuring high performance and efficiency
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns that drive business decisions, turning "raw data" into a narrative for executive leadership
• Act as the primary consultant for business units, proactively identifying opportunities where data can solve business "pain points."
• Efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintain project momentum and delivery even when individual task priorities shift
• Manage the full delivery of reporting projects, from driving meeting agendas and resolving technical blockers to ensuring strict adherence to SLAs
• Guarantee the accuracy of business insights by enforcing rigorous quality assurance and data governance standards across all reports and dashboards
• Act as a technical mentor to junior analysts, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices in visualization and analytical thinking

Person we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Business, Management, or a related field is required
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role
• Strong business acumen with specific experience or interest in the retail industry.
• Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL,Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and other data analysis platforms is necessary
• Strong interest in data mining, statistics, data analysis, programming, visualization, big data, and cloud solutions, along with a strong desire for continuous learning and development in this role, is expected
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, being detail-oriented, analytical, and possessing critical thinking skills are essential
• A proactive and positive mindset, a learning-oriented approach with a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt quickly to change and respond with flexibility are valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences, with the ability to interact with various levels of management and stakeholders, are required
