Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a senior Customs Clearance Manager in Jakarta to oversee end-to-end import/export compliance and cross-border operations. You will act as an authorized signatory for documentation, develop and implement compliance strategies, and lead audits and regulatory liaison.

You will work closely with government authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient international trade while maintaining strict adherence to Indonesian customs regulations and global best

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• PPJK Certification is highly preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in Customs Clearance, International Trade, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years in global trade compliance or customs leadership in multinational companies.
• Experience in ICT/telecoms/tech/electronics manufacturing or high-volume multinationals.
• Deep understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, HS code, valuation, bonds and import/export compliance.
• Strong knowledge of WTO, WCO, rules of origin and global customs practices.
• Proven leadership in customs audits, regulatory inspections and government liaison.
• Ability to interpret regulatory changes into policies and processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• High resilience; capable in fast-paced multinational environments.
• Professional English proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customs clearance operations ensuring full Indonesian compliance.
• Act as authorized legal signatory for customs documentation (export declarations, etc.).
• Develop and implement customs compliance strategies and procedures.
• Build relationships with customs authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Lead customs audits, inspections and investigations; coordinate responses.
• Oversee tariff classification, valuation and rules of origin.
• Monitor regulatory updates and translate into business processes.
• Assess risks and mitigate delays in cross-border shipments.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, legal, finance and HQ.
