Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Customs Clearance Manager to oversee end-to-end import and export compliance in Indonesia. This on-site senior role requires signing authority for key documents and close collaboration with authorities and partners to ensure smooth cross-border operations.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in customs/intl trade, with strong English skills and a track record in multinational settings. PPJK is preferred and experience across ICT or related industries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• PPJK Certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Customs Clearance, International Trade, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain Management with significant exposure to import and export operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling global trade compliance, customs governance, or customs leadership within multinational organizations.
• Strong experience in ICT, telecommunications, technology, electronics manufacturing, FMCG, or other high-volume multinational industries.
• Deep understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, HS code classification, valuation, and import/export compliance.
• Professional proficiency in English due to frequent communication with regional HQ and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations for import and export activities, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian regulations.
• Act as an authorized legal signatory for customs documentation, including export declarations (PEB).
• Develop and implement customs compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to support efficient trade.
• Build relationships with customs authorities and regulatory bodies to facilitate operations.
• Lead audits, inspections, and reviews while coordinating responses to findings.
• Oversee tariff classification, valuation, and rules of origin.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate updates into business processes.
• Assess risks, identify bottlenecks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, procurement, legal, and finance to ensure compliance.
