Job summary

MatchaTalent in South Jakarta is seeking a seasoned Customs Clearance Manager to oversee end-to-end import/export compliance and clearance operations across the supply chain.

The role requires strong knowledge of Indonesian customs, audits, tariff classification, and cross-functional collaboration with government authorities and regional teams. 7–10 years in relevant roles and English proficiency are essential; PPJK certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PPJK Certification preferred.
• 7–10 years in Customs Clearance, International Trade, Logistics or Supply Chain with import/export exposure.
• 5+ years in global trade compliance or customs leadership within multi-national orgs.
• Strong ICT/telecom/tech/manufacturing exposure and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customs clearance operations ensuring Indonesian compliance.
• Act as authorized legal signatory for export/import documentation (PEB, etc).
• Develop and implement customs compliance strategies and procedures.
• Build relationships with customs authorities and regulators to enable smooth operations.
• Lead customs audits, inspections and regulatory reviews; coordinate responses.
• Oversee HS Code classification, valuation, rules of origin, and related controls.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate updates into actionable processes.
• Assess risks and mitigate delays; optimize cross-border operations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, legal, finance and regional HQ for seamless operations.
