Job summary

Matahari, Indonesia's premier department store chain, is seeking a commercially driven License Brand Manager to lead growth of the license brand portfolio, identify high-potential brands, and negotiate partnerships that drive revenue and brand equity.

You will collaborate with Legal and Commercial teams, manage relationships with brand principals, and deliver data-driven recommendations to optimize performance across fashion, lifestyle, and retail sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in brand licensing, business development, or related field.
• Experience in brand licensing and managing relationships with principals is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of fashion, lifestyle, consumer brands, and retail market trends.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiation, sales planning, and performance analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.
• Proficient English in international brand principal management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new licensing opportunities and maintain a strong brand pipeline.
• Manage commercial negotiations with principals, including royalty terms and partnership agreements.
• Coordinate with Legal and stakeholders on licensing agreements and legal matters.
• Work with Commercial teams to align sales forecasts and buying plans, and monitor performance against targets.
• Coordinate license brand events and campaigns with internal teams and principals.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize the license brand portfolio and commercial results.
