Job summary

BYD Company Limited seeks a senior backend architect to design and evolve scalable systems for its Indonesia operations in Subang. You will own backend architecture, ensure high availability, and drive technical decisions across the team.

The role requires 5+ years in distributed back-end development, strong Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and experience with Kafka and ElasticSearch to support large-scale supply chain platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field.
• Solid English reading/writing; additional language a plus.
• 5+ years backend dev experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong Java knowledge; proficient in IO, multithreading, collections; JVM internals.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with Kafka, distributed cache, ElasticSearch.
• Familiar with Oracle and NoSQL databases; design heterogeneous data systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee backend system planning, architecture design, and iteration for scalable supply chain tech.
• Lead major projects, tackle high concurrency, high availability and data consistency challenges.
• Set development specs, quality standards, and performance baselines.
• Act as technical lead, mentor core talent and drive technical reviews.
• Understand business needs and translate into efficient technical solutions.
• Track industry trends and roadmap evolution of the tech stack.
