Job summary

Arbeit Group is seeking a Backend Developer with strong Java expertise to build scalable backend systems for a modern used-car sales platform in Indonesia. You will work on API development, data management, and business services that impact platform performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented development.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend web services.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and backend design patterns.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability best practices.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases and backend data management.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Understanding of testing concepts and QA practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain backend services and business logic in Java.
• Design scalable, secure, high-performance architectures.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend and integrations.
• Develop and optimize database structures and data access layers.
• Apply DDD principles to complex business requirements.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance activities.
• Implement performance tuning across backend services.
• Ensure secure coding practices and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain technical docs and support Agile processes.
