ATTA Studio in Bali seeks a Senior Architect to lead projects from concept through construction. You will drive design development, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the architectural vision is realized on site.
The role emphasizes strong technical detailing, material strategies, and on‑site execution to deliver contemporary hospitality, residential, and lifestyle spaces.
ATTA Studio is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to join our team in Bali.
We are looking for a well-rounded architect with a strong design sensibility and solid technical and construction knowledge — someone capable of taking ownership of a project from the first client discussions and concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and execution on site.
Our projects are focused on contemporary architecture, hospitality, residential developments, villas, and lifestyle-driven spaces, with a strong emphasis on design quality, materiality, detailing, and the relationship between architecture and interiors.
The Senior Architect will lead and coordinate architectural projects throughout the full design and construction process.
You will work closely with clients, the internal design team, engineers, consultants, project managers, and construction teams to ensure that the original architectural vision is translated accurately into technical drawings and ultimately into the built project.
This is a hands‑on senior position. We are looking for someone who understands both how to design a strong project and how to make it buildable.
Lead projects from concept design through construction and handover
Participate in client meetings, understand briefs, and translate them into clear architectural concepts
Develop contemporary architectural concepts, layouts, massing, material strategies, and design details
Develop and supervise technical and construction drawing packages
Ensure design intent is accurately translated from concept drawings into construction documentation
Review architectural, structural, MEP, and consultant drawings for coordination and potential conflicts
Coordinate closely with engineers, consultants, project managers, and site teams
Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and construction details
Follow projects during construction and resolve architectural and design issues that arise on site
Maintain consistency between approved designs and actual construction
Develop and review architectural detailing, including junctions, finishes, waterproofing interfaces, built-in elements, doors, windows, ceilings, flooring, and other key components
Contribute to interior architecture and interior design, including layouts, materials, finishes, lighting, built-ins, and FF&E coordination
Guide and review the work of junior architects and drafters
Maintain high standards of drawing accuracy, coordination, detailing, and presentation throughout each project
Degree in Architecture
Significant professional experience as an architect, ideally 7+ years
Strong portfolio of modern / contemporary built projects
Proven experience taking projects beyond concept and into technical design and construction
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing, and site execution
Experience coordinating architecture with structural and MEP disciplines
Ability to produce and critically review detailed construction drawings
Strong architectural and spatial design ability
Good understanding of interior architecture and interior detailing
Ability to identify technical problems before they become site problems
Comfortable communicating directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and project managers
Strong leadership and decision‑making skills
High attention to detail and ability to maintain design quality throughout execution
Proficiency in relevant architectural design and documentation software
We are particularly interested in architects who do not see design, technical documentation, and construction as separate disciplines.
The right person should be equally comfortable discussing a concept with a client, developing a façade or interior detail with the design team, reviewing a construction drawing, coordinating with an engineer, and discussing an execution issue with the project manager on site.
We are looking for someone who can protect the architectural vision while understanding the realities of construction — and who takes responsibility for ensuring that what is designed is ultimately what gets built.
