Six Senses Bali is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the Finance department, ensuring alignment with the resort's luxury standards and sustainability pillars.

You will manage budgeting, controls, and reporting, collaborating with the Director of Finance and other executives to drive financial performance while upholding Six Senses values.

Ideal candidates have hotel accounting experience, fluent English, Indonesian citizenship, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hotel accounting experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective management of the resort’s accounting practices and provide reporting to divisions and owners.
• Prepare the annual budget and capital expenditure plan and monitor actual performance to budget.
• Oversee financial transactions including approvals, payroll, audits, and other financial requests.
• Ensure internal controls meet financial, legislative and taxation requirements.
• Respond to audit issues and implement corrective actions.
• Improve the financial function in line with Six Senses practices.
• Ensure purchasing meets Six Senses Sustainability guidelines.
• Vendors vetting, stock takes and storage assessments as required.
• Promote cost-focused mindset through training and education.
• Ensure legal, safety, and contract obligations are met in daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Senior Accountant, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Finance department within Six Senses' financial operating standards. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and other executives, I am a key participant in setting the strategic direction of the resort.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Establish and maintain effective management of the resort’s accounting practices and provide a flow of financial information and reporting to all divisions and departments, Home Office, and the owners.
• Prepare the annual budget and capital expenditure plan and monitor actual financial performance to budget.
• Oversee the financial transactions, including approval of purchase requisitions and orders, payments, petty cash, payroll, audit and other financial requests.
• Ensure internal controls are in place to provide compliance with financial, legislative and taxation requirements and that our financial, payroll and information systems are effective.
• Respond immediately to audit issues and oversee required action to address deficiencies.
• Continually improve the financial function in line with Six Senses practices.
• Commit to ensuring that the Purchasing practices meet the requirements of the Six Senses Sustainability & Eat With Six Senses platforms and guidelines.
• Undertake vendors/suppliers vetting, stock takes and storage assessment at the required times to ensure all stock is on hand, properly stored, and in line with Six Senses standards.
• Encourage a cost-focused mindset by providing training and education.
• Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls, which are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Senior Accountant, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, including the following:

• Possess some College plus 2 years of hotel accounting or auditing experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, and more than five years’ experience in a hotel accounting role, preferred.
• CPA preferred
• Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
• Indonesian Citizenship.
