Job summary

UWSUN ECO RESORT in South Kuta, Bali, seeks an experienced Finance, Accounting & Tax Manager to lead a 4-person finance team and oversee all financial accounting, tax compliance, and reporting for the resort on-site.

The role requires hospitality finance expertise, strong hotel accounting controls, and mandatory hands-on experience with VHP. You will ensure regulatory compliance, provide insights for decision-making, and support budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA/CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Experience in tax compliance and planning in hospitality.
• Hands-on VHP experience is mandatory.
• Strong hotel accounting knowledge and VHP workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial accounting functions including AP/AR and GL.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure tax compliance and timely tax filings.
• Conduct financial and variance analysis for cost control.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance, Accounting & Tax Manager to join UWSUN ECO RESORT in South Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position based on-site at our resort location. As Finance, Accounting & Tax Manager, you will lead a Finance Department consisting of 4 team members and will be responsible for overseeing all financial accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting functions for the resort. This role is strategically important to our organisation, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and providing critical financial insights to support management decision‑making.

The role requires strong hospitality finance experience, excellent knowledge of hotel accounting and financial controls, and mandatory hands‑on experience working with VHP (Visual Hotel Program / VHP by Supranusa Sindata).

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including income tax, value‑added tax and other statutory requirements relevant to Indonesian regulations
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities
• Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for cost control and optimisation
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies to safeguard resort assets
• Manage the accounting team and provide training and guidance on accounting procedures and compliance requirements
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities regarding audits, tax enquiries and compliance matters
• Prepare management reports and financial information to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and other financial transactions
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping and documentation for all financial transactions and supporting evidence

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent recognised certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Substantial experience with tax compliance and tax planning in a hospitality or resort environment
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law, regulations and reporting requirements
• MANDATORY: practical hands‑on experience with VHP
• MANDATORY: strong understanding of hotel accounting and VHP financial workflows
• Experience with OTA reconciliation and payment gateways
• Experience with CAPEX and project cost control is highly desirable
• Experience with villa management or owner financial reporting is an advantage
• Experience working in Bali or Indonesia is strongly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modelling
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial matters to non‑financial stakeholders
• Leadership capability with experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Knowledge of hospitality industry accounting practices and cost controls is highly desirable
