Job summary

PT PROEDUCATION INDONESIA seeks a Support Teacher for Special Educational Needs (SEN) to foster an inclusive learning environment. You will provide individualized and small-group support, adapt materials, and assist with IEPs/PLPs while promoting academic, social, and life skills.

You will collaborate with teachers and specialists, use assistive technologies, communicate with parents, and help maintain documentation, ensuring confidentiality and alignment with school standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with SEN students is advantageous.
• Training in ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language therapy, or behavior management is advantageous.
• Minimum 2 work references from previous employers.
• Cambridge, MAP, and WIDA experience a plus.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing quality education to young learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN students.
• Assist in development and implementation of IEPs or PLPs.
• Adapt lesson materials and instructional strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills.
• Work with teachers to modify and differentiate lessons for SEN students.
• Maintain records and contribute to assessments of student needs.
• Attend parent–teacher meetings and communicate progress to parents.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies regarding SEN support.
