Job summary

English 1 Indonesia is seeking a Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons using English 1's branded content and methodologies. They will ensure learner satisfaction through engaging instruction, effective classroom management, and adherence to teaching standards.

Additional responsibilities include course administration, student progress tracking, parental communication, and supporting center events or marketing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (any field)
• Recognized TEFL certification or equivalent (for international teachers)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English lessons following curriculum and methodologies
• Prepare lesson materials and classroom equipment in advance
• Begin and end classes on time; be in class 5 minutes before start time
• Utilise audio/video materials and incorporate technology into lessons
• Develop and use supplementary teaching materials as needed
• Monitor student progress, administer assessments, and maintain accurate records
• Ensure students understand and follow safety and behaviour policies
• Maintain up-to-date student and class records
• Assist with student placement testing
• Provide demo lessons and participate in promotional activities
• Support center events, including extracurricular activities and social events
• Substitute for absent colleagues when necessary
• Assist with marketing initiatives and induction of new sales and teaching staff
• Keep teaching materials and resources organised and in good condition
• Adhere to administrative procedures and policies
• Regularly meet with DoS to discuss teaching performance and center operations
• Attend training sessions and professional development meetings
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
