Job summary

Sababay Winery in Bali is seeking a Cook to prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and cook menu items using baking, grilling, steaming, boiling, frying, or sautéing to ensure freshness and consistent quality for daily operations.

You will set up stations, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver timely food production while adhering to hygiene standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational training in culinary arts or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of cook experience in café or restaurant.
• Skilled in cooking techniques and food presentation.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Experience maintaining cleanliness of work area and kitchen equipment.
• Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process ingredients to ensure freshness and readiness for daily operations.
• Follow standardized recipes, including measuring, weighing, mixing, and portioning.
• Cook items using baking, grilling, steaming, boiling, frying, or sautéing methods.
• Present dishes by plating and garnishing according to standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (ovens, grills, fryers, etc.).
• Set up and organize workstations before service.
• Monitor station inventory and report shortages or quality issues.
• Check quality and freshness of ingredients before use and during prep.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards throughout operations.
• Execute opening and closing kitchen procedures per standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely food production.
