Job summary

ABB Motion is seeking a results-oriented sales professional to drive the sales of high-performance motors, system drives, and related solutions in Indonesia. You will cultivate key customer and partner relationships and pursue new market opportunities with a focus on sustainability and productivity improvements.

The role requires 3-5 years in technical sales within the industrial sector, strong knowledge of motors and drives, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial sales or sales engineering in the industrial sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical and commercial knowledge of motor, drives, and automation solutions.
• Ability to travel extensively across East Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of ABB Motion High Performance Motors and System Drives in Indonesia.
• Develop and maintain strong customer and partner relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities across key industries.
• Support cash collection and project management activities when needed.
• Communicate delivery, payment terms and conditions aligned with ABB offerings.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will drive the sales of ABB Motion High Performance Motors (MOHP), Large Motors and System Drives products and solutions in Indonesia, contributing to sustainable growth, profitability, and market share expansion. You will develop and maintain strong customer and partner relationships, identify new business opportunities across key industries, and deliver value-driven solutions that enhance customer productivity, reliability, and sustainability. Through effective sales execution and market development activities, you will support ABB's strategic objectives while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Business in Indonesia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.
• Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
• Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly engaged in industrial sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the motors, drives, rotating equipment, or industrial automation market. Experience within mining, cement, metals, power generation, oil & gas, pulp & paper, marine, or other process industries in East Indonesia is highly valued.
• You have 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, account management, or business development within the industrial sector, preferably involving electric motors, drives, power transmission products, or related electromechanical solutions.
• You possess strong technical and commercial knowledge of industrial motor applications, energy efficiency solutions, and reliability-focused services. Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, SAP, or similar sales management platforms is an advantage.
• You are passionate about customer relationship management, consultative selling, and identifying innovative solutions that create value for customers while supporting sustainable business growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. A proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strategic customer relationships is preferred.
• You are at ease communicating in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively engage customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
• You hold a valid Indonesian driving license (SIM A) and are willing to travel extensively across East Indonesia to support customer engagement, business development activities, and market expansion initiatives.
