Job summary

ABB in Indonesia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead small, low-complexity projects within the Automation Process Industries. You will guide the project team, manage schedule risks, and ensure activities follow procedures, regulations, standards, and contract targets.

The role reports to the Operations Manager, requires 8–10 years in project management, English communication, expertise in scheduling and MS Project, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in Project Manager or similar in relevant fields.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Expertise in project financials, cash flow, contracts, scheduling, and MS Project.
• Proven delivery of automation/electrical projects; SE Asia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team allocated to the project.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risk; pursue opportunities.
• Drive formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment per contract.

This position reports to:

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively.

This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries in Indonesia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading the project team allocated to the project.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 8-10 years as Project Manager or similar in relevant fields.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Expertise in project financials, cash flow, contracts, scheduling, and MS Project.
• Proven delivery of automation/electrical projects; pulp & paper/mining in SE Asia preferred.
• Experienced professional with proven success in delivering complex solutions in Process Industries, including, but not limited to the scope of Automation Systems, Electrical, E-house, Digital Solutions.
• Willingness to travel, strong safety commitment, self-motivation, curiosity, and collaborative approach.
