Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef.
• Proven ability to lead a remote team.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
• Experience in food costing, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Culinary degree or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute a diverse range of high-quality pastry products, including cakes, tarts, chocolates, and individual desserts.
• Create innovative and visually appealing dessert menus tailored to different event types and client specifications.
• Maintain exceptional standards of quality, taste, and presentation in all baked goods.
• Manage and mentor a remote team of pastry assistants and bakers, providing guidance and feedback.
• Oversee ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and cost control for the pastry department.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations within a remote production environment.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and event planning team to integrate pastry offerings seamlessly into overall event menus.
• Stay updated on the latest pastry trends, techniques, and ingredient innovations.
• Conduct virtual quality control checks and provide detailed instructions for remote baking teams.
