Job summary

PT. YAFINDO SUMBER REZEKI seeks an experienced Area Manager to oversee operations across Batam stores, drive sales targets, manage costs, and develop staff. You will monitor market trends, optimize inventory, and coordinate with departments to deliver exceptional customer service.

Must have a S1 degree and 5 years in retail with 2–3 years in an Area Manager role, plus strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, based in Batam.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 education, preferably in business administration or management.
• 5 years of experience in retail supermarket with 2–3 years in Area Manager or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical capability.
• Orientation toward sales, customer experience, operational excellence and profitability.
• Understanding of merchandising basics, stock management, loss prevention, visual merchandising and HR management.
• Willing to work and be based in Batam City.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate operational activities across all stores in the region.
• Control and achieve sales targets, profit, margin, transaction, basket size and UPT across all stores.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to improve performance and achieve company targets.
• Support development of store team skills and capabilities through training and development.
• Report business performance regularly to senior management.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and other data to make strategic decisions.
• Control operational costs and inventory across all stores to ensure profitability.
• Ensure merchandise inventory is sufficient across all stores and distribute stock according to store needs and capacity.
• Maintain customer service standards across all stores.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide support to stores.
