Job summary

The Regional Retail Head - Sumatra role is for an experienced, hands-on leader to oversee sales operations and drive growth across Sumatra. Lead strategies across dealer networks, showrooms, and modern trade channels with a focus on Medan and nearby areas.

As a senior leader, you will guide regional teams, monitor performance, and collaborate with Head Office on budgets and policy implementation to ensure sustainable market expansion and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales experience in retail and wellness products.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing large teams.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to work with frontline teams and dealer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute retail sales and distribution strategies across dealer, showroom, and e-commerce channels to achieve regional targets.
• Lead sales execution and expand market share in Medan and surrounding areas.
• Strengthen dealer networks and ensure strong penetration across local retail channels.
• Monitor channel performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
• Drive cost control and operational efficiency across all retail operations.
• Identify new market opportunities in household, hospitality, and corporate sectors for wellness products.
• Coach and motivate sales managers to deliver results through market penetration, marketing optimisation, and cross-selling initiatives.
• Collaborate with Head Office on policies, budgets, sales reporting, and people development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, or a related field
• 10+ years of sales experience specialising in retail and wellness products, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• At least 5 years of hands-on sales experience in Medan, with strong knowledge of the local retail market, customer behaviour, and business dynamics
• Proven track record of leading large teams and consistently achieving sales targets
• Hands-on and commercially driven leadership approach, with the ability to work closely with frontline teams, build dealer relationships, and translate strategy into results
