Job summary

PT Asphalt Bangun Sarana is seeking an experienced QC & Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations across multiple regional facilities in Indonesia. You will ensure product quality, supervise lab teams, and drive continuous improvement while complying with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

You will oversee testing of bitumen, PMB, PG Bitumen, and bitumen emulsion, and collaborate with R&D, customers, and Tipco Group teams in Thailand and Vietnam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of bitumen chemistry, rheology, performance and laboratory testing.
• Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems.
• Experience in bitumen, asphalt, petroleum, oil & gas, or construction materials is highly preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel to regional sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage laboratory operations across multiple locations.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
• Lead laboratory teams and develop technical competency.
• Oversee testing and quality evaluation of bitumen, PMB, PG Bitumen, and bitumen emulsion.
• Drive product formulation, optimization, quality improvement, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze laboratory data, quality trends, and process capability using statistical tools and the 7 QC Tools.
• Collaborate with regional technical, R&D, customers, and Tipco Group companies in Thailand and Vietnam.
• Provide technical support and travel to regional sites when required.
