Job summary

The Balangan Hotel in Bali, Indonesia is seeking an energetic Hotel Receptionist to warmly welcome guests and provide outstanding service. Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, reservations, payments, and guest inquiries, with coordination to housekeeping and maintenance for smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant front office experience, and strong English language skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma (Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Tourism is an advantage).
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist or Front Office staff is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel PMS such as Opera, VHP, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and customer-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their stay.
  • Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, and online booking platforms.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled.
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Prepare daily reports, cash balancing, and shift handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
