Job summary

Sumi Hotel in Jakarta Barat is seeking a Hotel Supervisor to monitor room standards and coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering for maintenance and cleanliness. You will ensure room keys control, assist in securing external guest accommodations during overbooking, and maintain impeccable public areas while staying ahead of market trends to deliver superior guest service.

Required Indonesian nationality with a Hospitality or Business Management degree and at least two years in a five-star

Qualifications

• Indonesian Nationality with a degree in Hospitality or Business Management
• Has minimum 2 (Two) years experience in a similar position, 5 (five) stars in International Hotel Chain.
• Excellent English skills and guest service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor room standards and suggest corrective actions to the Department Head
• Ensure strict control of room keys and assist in securing external guest accommodation during overbooking
• Keep public areas clean and up to standard
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Engineering to block rooms for maintenance as needed
• Organise with Housekeeping to maintain cleaning schedules for in-house guests and arrivals
• Coordinate all repair and maintenance and report maintenance job orders
• Understand rate structures and promotional rates available
• Enter guest details accurately in the system following data-cleaning principles
• Stay aware of market trends and competitor offerings to stay ahead
• Be flexible to redeploy to other departments as required to meet guest service needs

Job description

To monitor Room standards in general, give suggestion to Department Head to take corrective action where necessary.

To ensure implementation of strict control of room keys and to assist in securing external guest accommodation overbooking situations.

Ensure public areas are clean and up to standard.

To work closely with the Housekeeping and Engineering Department to block rooms as necessary for maintenance.

Liaises and organises with Housekeeping Department that the established cleaning schedules for guests' in - house and arrivals are strictly adhered to.

Coordinates all Repair and Maintenance and reports maintenance job orders.

Understands rate structure and promotional rates available.

Ensures that all guest details are entered correctly in accordance with the principles of clean data.

To be aware of new market trends and service(s) offered by competitor hotels and the industry in general “be one step ahead “where appropriate.

To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.

Qualifications
