About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving to join the operations team at The Nest Hotel in Badung - Nusa Dua, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods and supplies. As a key member of our hospitality operations, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, quality control, and vendor relationships whilst supporting the seamless delivery of exceptional service across our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and quality compliance
• Maintain detailed records of all received goods, including documentation, categorisation, and proper coding for inventory management systems
• Oversee the secure and organised storage of received items in designated areas, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues to management and relevant vendors promptly
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve delivery issues, missing items, and billing discrepancies
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements to procurement teams to support operational needs
• Train and supervise receiving staff, ensuring they follow established procedures and maintain high standards of performance
• Liaise with department heads to understand supply requirements and delivery schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of receiving and storage areas in compliance with company policies
• Prepare reports on receiving activities, inventory discrepancies, and vendor performance for management review

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in receiving, warehouse management, or inventory control within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and experience with relevant software or databases
• Ability to lift and handle heavy items safely and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, staff, and management
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards relevant to hospitality operations
• Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
• Proficiency in English and Indonesian language is advantageous
• Previous experience working in a Balinese hospitality setting is desirable
• Certification in warehouse management or food safety is a plus
