Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer to provide technical support and engineering expertise to customers and maintenance teams across Indonesia.

You will troubleshoot issues, monitor equipment performance, and coordinate maintenance to maximise fleet reliability and minimize downtime. In this role you will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A trade, engineering, or related technical qualification.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support within a rail, heavy industry, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical fault-finding approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
• Experience using asset management or maintenance systems is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and operational teams.
• Monitor equipment and fleet performance to identify issues and improve reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimise downtime and maximise asset availability.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and customer stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support investigations into equipment failures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
