Job summary
Caterpillar Indonesia Batam is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in assembly processes. You will analyze production efficiency, optimize equipment, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while collaborating with operations and technical teams.
The role emphasizes coaching, continuous improvement, and hands-on work in both office and shop-floor environments to deliver reliable, high-quality machines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role in heavy machinery assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Experience with Teamcenter for product data management.
- Familiarity with APQP and continuous improvement.
- Experience using Power BI and Excel (VBA) for dashboards and reporting.
- Budgeting and resource planning for capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
- Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
- Providing coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.
- Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
