Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver expert technical support and maintenance coordination for customers and internal teams across Indonesia.

You will help maximise fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure prompt, effective service delivery in a fast-paced setting. Working with Operations and Engineering, you will troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and drive improvements that increase asset availability and operational performance for rail and related heavy

Qualifications

• Trade, engineering, or related technical qualification.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting or technical support in rail/heavy industry/manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical fault-finding approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and operations teams.
• Monitor equipment and fleet performance to identify issues and improve reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimise downtime and maximise asset availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Support investigations into equipment failures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate technical records and data in systems and reports.
• Promote safety, quality and customer service excellence.
